What you will be doing...

Woodward is seeking Embedded Software Engineers at all levels to support the successful operations on our Aerospace Electronics team.

  • This organization develops and produces products related to combustion, fluid, and motion controls for the Aerospace industry
  • Software engineers perform work requiring the application of standard engineering principles, practices, procedures, and evaluation criteria in conjunction with appropriate software and compliance standards
  • Design, support, and test of moderate to high complexity, highly integrated software for embedded systems and sub-system
  • Responsibilities may include design solutions/implementation, test creation/execution and/or general support
  • Participates in or leads projects and process improvement activities

What we are looking for...

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (BS CE, BS CS, BS EE)
  • Software engineering and compliance standards experience may include:
    • Software for real-time embedded systems and devices
    • C/C++, Assembly, Python
    • Motor Control
    • Communication Networks
    • Configuration management tools
    • Software verification and validation
    • Software Design Life Cycle
    • MIRSA C (coding standard)
    • Agile Methodology
    • Safety Critical Software
    • Software requirements
    • Embedded development tools

Level 1:

  • Up to 2 years professional embedded software engineering experience required

Level 2:

  • 3+ years professional embedded software engineering experience required

Senior:

  • 6+ years professional embedded software engineering experience required

Staff:

  • 8+ years professional embedded software engineering experience or a combination of experience and advanced degree required

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
