Quality Specialist General Administrative
$13/hr - ENTRY LEVEL
PURPOSE
Responsible for examining materials for quality and defects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure quality of manufactured goods
- Inspect goods as they are finished
- Investigates defects and errors to identify root cause and escalates or implements applicable resolution personally or in partnership with appropriate production and management personnel.
- May examine materials from suppliers before sending them to production line.
- Inspect components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
- Perform quick visual inspections.
- Test, measure, and analyze products.
- May order materials.
- Ensure company is meeting the standard codes in the manufacturing process.
- Record pass/fail grade of products.
- May produce detailed reports.
- Maintains records regarding production and quality metrics.
- Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one (1) year related experience.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Fluent in English language.
COMPETENCIES
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of wood frame construction to include roof, floor, wall framing
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities
