Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

 

The Solar Energy Assessment Manager is responsible for managing PV Energy modeling activities providing guidance and supervision to energy assessment analysts in order to determine the technical conditions that will allow for the optimization of costs and power production

 

Main accountabilities:

  • Perform energy assessments including statistical analysis of data, solar modeling, loss evaluation, and uncertainty analyses
  • Participate in the data validation and management process
  •  Participate in site design and layout optimization support
  •  Support Development team in the prospecting process
  •  Provide analytic support for operating project assessments
  • Provide analytic support for financial pro forma models
  •  I+D+i activities in order to be in the top of the current start of the art related to their activities and responsibilities.
  •  Additional duties as required

Travel:

 

Minimum qualifications:
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Meteorology, or a related field
  •  Preferable 5+ years performing Solar energy assessments
  •  Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software; basic knowledge of statistical methods
  •  Familiarity with industry tools such PVsyst, Meteonorm, Helios 3D, SAM
  •  Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred.
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred

Physical demands & working conditions:

 

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
  • Speech/Reading:  Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
