Huntsman's Advanced Materials Division is searching for a Strategic Marketing Manager for our growing adhesives business based out of the Houston, TX area or working remotely. The primary responsibility is to develop global marketing strategies and direct the regional implementations to ensure the mid long-term profitable growth of our adhesives business. It is essential to understand the customer needs and to define products & services that meet these needs.

In summary, as the Strategic Marketing Manager, you will be:

Strategic Marketing

  • Actively contribute to the creation of global marketing plans for the sector,
  • Identify and target attractive market opportunities and customer segments through compelling value propositions and effective business models to deliver them, and define a plan to address internal capability gaps (when necessary),
  • Develop sound business cases for global innovation projects and the launch plans to ensure successful commercialization of new products in the Americas,
  • Participate in the innovation pipeline development process leading opportunity assessments for new innovations and providing overall strategic marketing direction,
  • Define clear communication plan for the Americas while ensuring global alignment,
  • Provide direction to the operational marketing team on the execution of the strategy, aligned with the global plans, and ensure their implementation in the Americas,
  • Define price policy & channel strategy to produce the highest possible long-term profit and market share in the target segments.

Market and competitive intelligence

  • Perform market research and analysis (including macro-economic analysis, value chain and profit pool analysis, key success factors in the industry) and VOC to gain valuable insights on customer needs and technology trends,
  • Monitor the market landscape, industry news, and government initiatives/plans,
  • Analyze data, identify, and track market trends, draw conclusions and develop recommendations,
  • Understand competitor products/services offerings and key differentiators. Track competitor activities and market share.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Business or technical degree. MBA or advanced degree in any business or economics discipline (i.e., advertising, finance, or marketing) is a plus.

Experiences

  • 5+ years of professional marketing experience in B2B within a related sector.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Energetic and intuitive marketing strategist with exceptional leadership and communication skills,
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and deliver effective strategies to generate results,
  • Strong knowledge of marketing processes & tools,
  • Able to engage & interact effectively with internal & external stakeholders and customers, with influencing and facilitation skills,
  • Understand complex business organization and possess financial acumen,
  • Solution and results oriented approach with a team player attitude,
  • Take ownership & accountabilities for results,
  • Strong track record in implementing and executing marketing strategies.
