ChampionX has an immediate need for a Direct Global Quality in our Chemical Technologies group located in Sugarland, TX. This role will provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate strong accountability and flexibility in managing the quality assurance needs of the plant. What You Will Do:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to manage the Global Quality function in support of business growth and strategic customer requirements.

  • Lead the company's pursuit of quality excellence across the globe. Drive initiatives and education processes to instill a quality performance culture and implement the company's Quality Policy. Ensure strategy and initiatives are aligned with supply chain, manufacturing, technology, marketing and the strategic business units.

  • Design, expand, implement and improve the management system to describe business processes, define organizational responsibilities and facilitate accountability for achieving results. Ensure internal processes and metrics are aligned to provide highest competitive advantage.

  • Manage and expand Integrated Management System certification to support business growth, improve profitability, manage risk, drive continuous improvement, and achieve operational excellence.

  • Provide governance and improve the effectiveness of the management system by managing the use of global tools (e.g., customer complaints, KPIs, scorecards, Intelex, root cause methods, corrective and preventive action methods, document control systems), managing internal and external audits, and conducting on-going management review.

  • Develop the Global Quality team to provide talent, competence and appropriate resources to achieve business objectives through successful implementation of management systems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area such as Chemistry, Engineering or other technical specialty related to safety, health and environmental practices

  • 10 years of practical Quality, RD&E and/or Manufacturing work experience with increasing responsibility in a chemical production/manufacturing environment

  • Minimum five years in supervisory responsibility in a Quality or related role

  • Project management training

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualification:

  • Quality Professional Certification

  • Experience in managing remote teams

  • Green Belt or Black Belt certifications

  • Master's degree in a related area such as Science, Engineering or other technical specialty related to safety, health and environmental practices
