Job Description

Summary

The Environmental Engineer will prepare, update, and maintain environmental investigation reports and plans. They also analyze data, perform inspections, monitor progress, and design projects that aid in protecting the environment. This position reports to the Director, Environmental. The position is remote but will require 25% travel.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

* Use of specialized equipment to test soil, water and air

* Improve waste management system design

* Reclamation and disposal of air, water and land

* Evaluate current systems and design innovative ways to improve or replace the existing systems or processes

* Field observation and field sample collections

* Investigate, record and compile reports for environmental-related complaints

* Pollution-control and waste treatment planning

* Develop guidelines for the disposal of hazardous materials

* Act as a regulatory arm for a company's compliance with waste disposal and management

Skills, Experience Required

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree from four-year college or university with a concentration in Engineering or a related field of acceptable equivalent credits or experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in energy industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Pre-employment drug test and background check required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
