Summary

The Design Systems Analyst is placed in this role to offer technical support for the designers located in Houston Telge Road Facility, Equity Drive Office and ES Designers in Abu Dhabi.-Business Units in the United States - ES, AMS Retrofit, ITK, Energy Transition, LatAm-Houston are supported by this position.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties
  • Work with the CAD Manager and CAD Administrators to maintain Design Hardware and Software consistent with North American Facilities.
  • Participation in monthly CAD Steering Committee meetings for input to CAD Roadmaps and initiatives for North America CAD Teams.
  • Install and setup of all CAD related software for US locations. -work with IT to create image and deployment packages.
  • Management of Design Station Standards and Specifications for each Design role
  • Coordination of all Designer assets-laptops, dock, keyboard/mouse combos, etc.
  • Management of all Design Software Installers and location within the IT Installer folders.
  • Management of all Design Software, Service Packs and Hotfixes.
  • Maintain Work Instructions for CAD Software install and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with management and maintenance of PRJ files in accordance with latest Piping Spec revision.
  • Creation of unique PRJ files for Projects as specified by Engineering teams in Houston.
  • Coordination of CAD Support Service Desk tasks and back-up to other regional CAD Admins if required.
  • Resolution of day-to-day Design Hardware and Software Issues. -support of 30+ Designers in Houston.
  • Model Auditing and Troubleshooting for submission to Engineering Data Management Bill of Material System.
  • Testing and validation of new Software versions when available.
  • Assist in developing new routines and processes for CAD Designers as required.
  • Support of all Custom CAD Tools and Integration Tools.
  • Design related software experience to include:AutoCAD,CADWorx Products,I-Configure,Navisworks Simulate/Manage,Bluebeam software
Qualifications
  • 4 years of Design experience or related education.
  • A strong knowledge of AutoCAD and CADWorx is required.
  • Experience with Materials is an asset.
  • Experience with Material BOMs in and ERP system is an asset.
  • Knowledge of ASME and API Codes is an asset.
