Key Duties:
- Diagnosing and repairing problems in areas including external component replacement and routine repair of brake systems, wheel seals, lighting, cab components, drive train and suspension components of tractors and trailers in such a manner that they meet DOT compliance.
- Identify and request parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance.
- Complete all work orders and time sheets in a legible, accurate and timely manner.
- Provide assistance to maintenance coworkers consistent with skillset as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.
- Participating in and promoting the Company's safety program.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- 1+ year experience in suspension and brake repair of class 8 tractors and trailers.
- DOT Brake Certification preferred.
- Class A CDL a plus.
- Physically capable of manual labor.
- Able to read, write, and communicate with co-workers and supervisor.
- Must be a self-starter, responsible, motivated, and willing to learn new skills.
