ChampionX is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative development team at The Woodlands, TX. This is a Hybrid Role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems. As a senior member of the team, you will play a crucial role in guiding technical decisions, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to the overall success of our projects.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and highly available cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions, ensuring security, performance, and reliability.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices in software development.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud-based applications, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest Azure services, tools, and best practices, and integrate them into existing projects.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall knowledge sharing within the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Seven (7) years minimum of professional experience as a software developer.
  • Experience in programming languages such as C#, .NET, and proficiency in Azure-native languages.
  • Experience working with GIS tools like ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfo.
  • Familiarity with geospatial libraries and frameworks, such as GDAL, PostGIS, or GeoTools.
  • Experience with RESTful or GraphQL Web APIs.
  • Experience in Azure services, including but not limited to Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, IoT Hub, Azure Queues, Key vault, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with SQL & NQSQL databases.
  • Experience in Python with NumPy, Pandas packages.
  • Experience with Azure Experience with IoT protocols and frameworks like MQTT, AMQP, etc.
  • Experience with Message Queues like RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, etc.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, and Security
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Developer) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing progressive web applications using ReactJS, Angular is a plus.
  • Knowledge of geospatial web services (e.g., WMS, WFS, RESTful APIs)
  • Experience with time-series databases like Influx DB or similar tools like Prometheus, Timescale DB, Datadog etc.,
  • Experience in Oil and Gas business domain is a plus.
