Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Director of Campus Enrollment. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of enrollment management, including admissions, recruitment, and student services. The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for higher education with a proven track record of leadership, team building, and innovation.

As the Campus Enrollment Lead at Texas State Technical College (TSTC), you play a vital leadership role in the Enrollment department, driving the mission to secure high-paying jobs for Texans. In this senior position, your duties encompass overseeing all enrollment functions on the campus, setting strategic enrollment targets, regularly reviewing performance, and making crucial adjustments to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Leading a dedicated team comprising Admissions Advisors, Enrollment Coaches, and Team Leads, you collaborate with the Provost office and statewide processing centers. Your primary focus is on influencing campus priorities, aligning with TSTC's three strategic imperatives: be better than others, be different from competitors in compelling ways, and be responsive and accountable to Texas Industry. This role provides significant leadership opportunities at both the campus and system-wide levels, fostering a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment for professional development, goals focused on applicant to student conversion rates, persistence rates and graduated numbers which contribute to enrollment goals for the Enrollment Management division and college as a whole. This position reports to the Executive Director of Enrollment Management and is responsible for upholding the policies and practices consistent with the College mission and values of excellence, accountability, service and integrity.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategic Vision:

  • Uphold TSTC Core Values in interactions with stakeholders, customers, students, and the community.

  • Utilize market research and analytics to devise data-driven strategies for admissions and enrollment growth, maximizing student success while aligning with campus-wide priorities.

  • Advocate for the elimination of admission and enrollment barriers hindering student access to higher education.

  • Set enrollment targets, regularly review performance against KPIs, and mentor the team of Admissions Advisors, Enrollment Coaches, and Team Leads.

Collaboration and Outreach:

  • Collaborate with internal departments, including the Provost Office, Marketing, Operations, Financial Aid, and faculty, to design and implement strategies for student enrollment and campus success.

  • Plan and oversee enrollment initiatives, regional events, and outreach programs.

  • Facilitate open house events and community activities to enhance the college experience.

Regulatory Oversight:

  • Proactively review and ensure department compliance with Federal, State, and institutional policies, such as FAFSA and FERPA.

  • Review changes to enrollment management policies and best practices, providing guidance to the team.

Technology Leadership:

  • Provide leadership in the utilization of various software programs for eligibility review, financial aid tracking, and academic progress monitoring.

Enrollment Strategy:

  • Assist in setting enrollment goals, monitoring KPIs, and adjusting staff resources to meet targets.

  • Recognize barriers to enrollment and collaborate on solutions at both campus and statewide levels.

Early Alert System:

  • Oversee the effective utilization of TSTC's Early Alert system, identifying at-risk students and devising outreach plans.

  • Maintain detailed notes using advanced advising techniques.

Administrative Excellence:

  • Identify and develop staff training needs, coordinate training and staff development.

  • Contribute to the development of budgets and strategic plans.

  • Participate in or lead statewide efforts for data collection, activity coordination, meeting facilitation, and recruitment project implementation.

  • Undertake additional leadership responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the continuous improvement of enrollment processes.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.

  • 3 years' experience in higher education, advisement, counseling, recruiting, or a similar field required.

  • Experience in sales and advising techniques preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Occasional need to reach, pull, and carry loads up to 15 lbs.
