About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team, playing a pivotal role in our mission to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable energy future. In this dynamic role, you will lead the commercial function for the US and Gulf Regions, overseeing pre- and post-award commercial and contracts activities. You will provide strategic direction and guidance to proposal and project teams, ensuring alignment with customer needs and commercial best practices.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies that drive growth, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Manage and lead a regional commercial team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Negotiate and manage prime contracts, ensuring alignment with industry standards and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee effective contract administration, change management, and claims management processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to optimize project delivery and financial performance.
  • Identify and implement innovative commercial models and digital solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Champion a strong safety culture, promoting safe work practices and risk management strategies.

  • An accomplished commercial leader with proven experience in the energy, chemicals, or resources sector.
  • A skilled negotiator with a deep understanding of contracts, risk management, and commercial best practices.
  • An effective communicator with the ability to influence and manage diverse stakeholders.

  • A strategic thinker with a strong understanding of financial modeling and business acumen.

Do you have the following skills and experience?

Contract Negotiation and Management:

  • Proven experience in negotiating and managing prime contracts using industry-standard forms (e.g., FIDIC, NEC) across various project types (FEED, PMC, EP, C, EPC/EPCM, Fabrication).

Risk Understanding:

  • Thorough understanding of project-related risks specific to the engineering and construction industry.
  • Capability to assess potential contractual and commercial exposure for Worley in case of project performance issues.

Team Management:

  • Experience effectively managing project teams dispersed across different regions.

Knowledge and Education:

  • A bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge and understanding of project and business financial reporting.
