The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is seeking tour guides for the 2023-24 academic year. This position requires potential Tour Guides to become extremely knowledgeable, resourceful and learn how to identify answers/solutions to visitors' inquiries. These individuals are required to bring groups of people to various locations on campus. Walking for approximately 60-90 minutes at a time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comfortable with public speaking and demonstrate confidence and campus spirit.
  • Conduct campus tours for prospective students, high school groups, large recruitment programs, and specialty tours.
  • Provide positive student stories and memorable experiences for guests on tour.
  • Provide front-line customer service in the Office of Admission
  • Assist visitors in locating university buildings, departments, and programs by personally escorting guests.
  • Assist with welcoming prospective students for the daily campus visits.
  • General office duties such as answering phones, greeting guests, physical mailing projects, etc.
  • Ability to make phone calls to prospective students and families over the course of the school year.
  • Be present at 4 required Office of Admission large-scale events including Open House and Accepted Student Day

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an Undergraduate or Graduate Day program at SNHU
  • At least one semester completed at SNHU
