Description

The Financial Reporting Accountant will assist with accounting, consolidations, financial reporting, and internal control compliance functions. You will also create and interpret financial information, statements, and reports. This position will be on a hybrid remote work schedule, working three days in office and two days from home.

Main accountabilities:

  • Generate separate company financial statements from trial balances and system generated reports, making adjusting entries when necessary
    1. Includes balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and footnotes
  • Input and analyze data in consolidation system (Magnitude - similar to Hyperion).
    1. Includes explaining and allocating balance sheet movements in accordance with predefined parameters
    2. Interact with parent company consolidations team to ensure proper account mapping and presentation
  • Generate account analyses, roll forwards, and consolidate various schedules from other groups in department to facilitate cash flow statement inputs and audit support
  • Assists with audit and review support
  • Prepare monthly consolidation entries
    1. Prepare elimination entries for various consolidations
    2. IFRS translation entries
  • Perform accounting for tax -advantaged partnerships
  • Assist with monthly managerial reporting
  • Handle requests from tax, finance, investor, budgeting, analysis, operations, reporting, and other ad-hoc requests associated with assigned consolidations and areas
  • Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS
  • Helps to develop internal accounting policies and procedures and to ensure compliance with new accounting pronouncements

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 1-3 years of accounting or related experience
  • CPA or CPA track preferred

  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
