Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an CNC Programmer, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The CNC Programmer 3 reports to Operations or Technical Leadership. The position supports production from a technical standpoint and has an excellent understanding of the product being produced in the area. The position is consulted by engineering regarding new product and process implementation. It solves difficult manufacturing problems and works with members to implement process and product improvements.What You Will Be Doing
Support rapid response efforts for the short term internal production of complex parts
Supports the programming, processing, tooling, proofing, fixturing of production parts.
Recommends and implements process improvements for new product introductions and/or existing manufacturing processes. Works with engineering, when needed, to develop new processes.
Identifies mistakes and improvements on various manufacturing documents and provides redlines to engineering.
Writes and releases new work instructions and other manufacturing documentation. Revises existing work instructions and other manufacturing documentation.
Provide input in the development of new cells that improves flow, increases velocity, and reduces waste.
What We Are Looking For
5+ years' experience as an Operations Specialist or similar external role required.
Associate or Bachelor's Degree of Applied Science in Industrial Technology or Mechanical Engineering OR 5 years' experience working with CNC metal cutting machines including CAM programming
Strong mechanical aptitude and in-depth knowledge of part prints and advanced skills in metal cutting principles
Understanding of component drawings and models.
Knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders and workpiece clamping devices.
CNC control experience (Siemens 840D knowledge preferred)
CAM programming experience
Experience with CAD software 2D and 3D
5-Axis machining experience a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong math skills and understanding of mechanics
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Willing to work overtime as needed
Willing to travel domestic and international
Certificate or degree in a Six Sigma or special process preferred
