How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Airgas Gulf Coast Region Business Analyst is responsible for providing business support for VP-Finance and Field organization. The Business Analyst will assist in the Gulf Coast Region budgeting and forecasting, pricing analysis, customer and segment profitability, margin analysis, operating cost analysis, capital expenditures, inventory management, cylinder/asset management, and other ad hoc analyses. This will require a professional that is data savvy and must possess exceptionally strong analytical skills.

In particular, you will:

  • Report and analyze financial and operating metrics, such as same-store sales, gross margins, operating expenses, asset utilization, capital expenditures, etc.

  • Utilize various business reports and metrics to evaluate, interpret, and provide critical information in support of strategic and operating decisions.

  • Analyze product price increase processes and provide support and analysis for sales and marketing related to customer price realization (i.e., measurement of periodic price increases and other pricing initiatives designed to enhance profitability).

  • Assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.

  • Work closely with the VP-Finance and Airgas Central Division finance support teams to better understand historical financial results, trends and validate forecast assumptions, as needed.

  • Perform extensive financial modeling in support of the Gulf Coast Region.

  • Responsible for compliance of Airgas company policies and procedures at the local level, evaluating and providing feedback for continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field, MBA a plus.

  • 1-3 yearsof experience in financial analysis in positions of increasing responsibility.

  • Experience in working with different departments and cross-functional teams, including people development skills and leadership qualities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.

  • Self-starter capable of working in an unstructured environment.

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft and Google office products), experience with SAP and/or ERP systems a plus.
