Job DescriptionAbout Us: Texas State Technical College (TSTC) is a premier institution dedicated to providing high-quality technical education. We are on the lookout for an experienced and dynamic Senior Field Development Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in advancing our educational mission.

Position Overview: As the Senior Field Development Officer, you have the chance to unleash your exceptional networking and relationship-building skills to cultivate essential community connections. Your primary goal is to drive success and achieve revenue goals by strategically identifying and engaging community and corporate leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

* Cultivate and sustain corporate and community relationships to contribute to achieving event revenue goals, fostering community participation, and enhancing brand awareness.
* Convene and establish a positive, healthy, and inclusive team environment that nurtures long-term community relationships.
* Coach and inspire TSTC volunteers to implement proven strategies and best practices for the continuous growth of events.
* Prospect, cultivate, and steward event teams, sponsors, and participants.
* Manage event budgets, provide training for volunteers, and adhere to set timelines and milestones.
* Utilize data analysis to make informed decisions and drive positive outcomes.

The Senior Development Officer role is your gateway to making a significant impact at TSTC. You will report to the Senior Executive Director, supporting the mission of TSTC and the TSTC Foundation. Your essential duties will involve raising funds for new and emerging technical programs, supporting student success, and providing the college flexibility to achieve its mission of Placing More Texans in Great Paying Jobs.

As the Senior Field Development Officer, you will be a key player on the campus External Relations Team, leading all external efforts for the region. Your scope of responsibilities includes either a large mature campus or more than three small campuses.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity.

  • Solicit, cultivate, and maintain a portfolio of donors and prospects for the assigned region.

  • Actively engage in local TSTC and community activities to promote awareness of the value of TSTC.

  • Improve relations and fundraising processes within the region.

  • Work with the campus External Relations Team on crafting mutually beneficial relationships with industry partners.

  • Manage the Corporate Campaign at the campus level.

  • Collaborate with Foundation staff and local campus external relations team to coordinate fundraising events.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree, preferably a Bachelor's degree.

  • 5+ years of proven successful experience meeting sales targets.

  • Significant results-oriented experience in development, fundraising, sales, or economic development.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking.

  • Strong understanding of TSTC and the TSTC Foundation's role in furthering the College mission.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for developing relationships with gift prospects.

  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Proficiency in fundraising or sales CRMs.

  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE optional).

  • Confident, goal-oriented, positive self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture corporate relationships and partnerships.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication and follow-through.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory by car.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.

  • Ability and willingness to work some evenings and weekends as required.
