We are seeking aTurnaround Training and Onboarding Leadwithin our Project Resource and Outage Support (PROS) Group located onsite inGonzalez, LA, Allentown, PA, Pasadena, TX, or Long Beach, CA. This position requires the ability to travel 25-30% depending on assigned workload. This is a diverse group that supports Industrial Gases (IG) North America capital projects, strategic planning, turnaround (TAR) planning, and turnaround execution. This allows our team to provide specialized services and additional capacity for infrequent events to operational assets. This role reports to the TAR Manager, North America.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain TAR specific training curricula to support onboarding and continuing education of both Air Products and contingent workers. Focus on key job roles and responsibilities to ensure workforce compliance, quality, and excellence.

  • Onboard each new employee or contingent worker, outfitting them with the proper equipment, PPE, access, and training. Create and modify templated ramp plans catered to common roles across the organization and ensure timely completion to meet individual TAR needs.

  • Ensure team compliance on Air Products' global training modules in LearnEx as well as external certifications as required (OSHA, Safety Council, TWIC, etc.).

  • Sponsor the internal TAR procedure library; lead development of new procedures with and as directed by management team. Control revisioning of procedures with appropriate subject matter experts and approvers.

  • Assemble and maintain how-to guides, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) pages, and general information on Air Products plants, procedures, specifications, and standards.

  • Ensure company systems accurately reflect current employee status and information.

  • Maintain records of Air Products' owned equipment, such as computers, hotspots, monitors, etc. Facilitate additional orders and returns to Air Products central IT as required.

  • Create training and communications to educate operations, maintenance, and engineering personnel on TAR requirements and process.

  • Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts within the TAR team to understand and close gaps in the TAR process.

  • Support continuous improvement projects, particularly in documentation and implementation methodology.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • 5 - 10 years' experience in maintenance and/or engineering disciplines, including industrial outages.

  • Strong working knowledge of operating plant systems including Maintenance, Machinery, Electrical, and Instrumentation. Broad technical familiarity with motors, pumps, compressors, turbines, fans, cooling towers, pressure vessels, and piping systems.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills.

  • Self-motivated and willingness to learn and improve.

  • High ethical standards.

  • Works professionally and harmoniously with employees, peers, management, support personnel, program participants and business area persons.

  • Utilizes positive and constructive attitude toward resolution of problems and conflicts.

  • Accepts direction, constructive feedback, and supervision.

Education and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience in maintenance or operations.

  • Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook).

  • Proficient in use of SAP.

Work Hours & Benefits:

Typical work week is 40 hours. Travel is required in U.S. and Canada, primarily California, U.S. Gulf Coast, Edmonton, Ontario, and U.S. Northeast. The work environment is diverse from an office setting to onsite at Air Products operating facilities.

The expected pay range for this job varies based on location. In California, the expected pay range is $103,950 - $139,950 plus bonus. This is the pay range that we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
