Monitor network elements, analyze and interpret network data, test and install data circuits, and maintain all switching, PBX and network equipment. Ability to work with a wide spectrum of analog, RF and digital equipment. Have the ability to work with hand tools, and wide variety of cabling (coax, data, fiber optic, and twisted pair). Keep detailed written records of work activity and communicate with customers and other employees. Ability to drive a vehicle with a generator in tow and safely operate a generator.
Minimum two year electronics degree or equivalent experience in the telecommunications industry.
Hold a valid state driver's license. Must have a satisfactory driving record.
Demonstrate ability to communicate with employees as well as external customers, and an aptitude to learn network components, software applications, and hardware configurations.
Knowledge of power systems, UPS and generators.
Must pass aptitude testing and physical standards.
