Summary:

The Payroll Coordinator reports directly to the Payroll Supervisor. The position provides direct support for the payroll process with adherence to Payroll policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll auditing tasks including data entry and verification in ADP eTIME and PeopleSoft North American Payroll module.
  • Support payroll analysts with W-4 and direct deposit, garnishments, auditing and any necessary administrative support
  • Coordinates with internal departments as appropriate to resolve discrepancies.
  • Reviews/audits timesheets for accuracy and proper manager approval, follow up with any discrepancies
  • Assists with researching and gathering ad hoc payroll data requests
  • Provides excellent customer service for all employees relating to time and attendance items
  • Assist in managing group payroll mailbox requests
  • Teamwork - works cooperatively and productively with colleagues and other teams
  • Effectively manages time during critical periods, such as payroll processing days
  • Assist payroll supervisor and manager with special projects as needed

Required Skills (External)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, and/ or Certification in Payroll Practices
  • Minimum of 0-2 years payroll experience preferred
  • Experience with ADP eTIME and PeopleSoft Payroll preferred
  • Disciplined organizational skills
  • Time-management and adaptability based on ongoing changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Communicates effectively in both formal and informal settings
  • Ability to analyze data to recognize problems and recommend solutions
  • Adapt effectively to new and changing environment

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

* Usually, normal office working conditions.

* Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

* Occasional overnight travel may be required.
