Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer Project Engineer with a strong background in the design of automation controls using Rockwell Allen-Bradley systems. The ideal candidate will lead our electrical control design engineering efforts for our custom machine designs. This is a long term In house position, replacing a recently retired employee.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of electrical control systems for our custom machinery, primarily the using Rockwell Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMI interfaces.
- Drive the design process from specification through to configuration, including the selection of appropriate enclosures, transformers, fuses, and other control system components.
- Spearhead the creation of new control systems, enhancing our product offerings and addressing customer requirements.
- Produce detailed electrical drawings, process engineering change orders (ECOs), and generate accurate bills of materials (BOMs).
- Develop custom PLC/HMI software, ensuring systems meet the highest standards of electrical performance and safety.
- Manage and mentor junior electrical engineers and collaborate with external contractors and vendors to meet project objectives.
- Provide technical oversight throughout the fabrication and construction phases to resolve any arising issues.
- Execute on-floor equipment tests and install/test PLC/HMI software, crafting comprehensive support documentation, including operator and maintenance manuals.
- Occasional travel to customer sites may be required to ensure proper system integration and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEE/BSEET).
- 3-4 years of experience in the design and testing of custom automation controls, with a focus on Rockwell Allen-Bradley equipment.
- Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical or other similar CAD package, and a solid understanding of wiring design, electric circuits and associated control elements.
- Familiarity with industrial standards (CSA, CE, UL, ANSI, NEC, ASME, etc.) and a track record of managing projects successfully within time and budget constraints.
- Excellent technical communication skills, capable of presenting concepts of operation clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
- Desirable: Experience with robotics and related automation technologies.
